Situation Guide
Broken glass and ceramics
Wrap small amounts of broken glass securely before using general waste. Large quantities, mirrors, heat-resistant glass, and ceramics may require a special sack or bulky-waste route.
Follow these steps
- 1
Do not place broken glass in bottle recycling.
- 2
Wrap small pieces in thick paper so sharp edges are covered.
- 3
Mark the package and prevent it from tearing the trash bag.
- 4
For larger amounts, mirrors, panes, or ceramics, check district rules for special sacks or bulky waste.
